Installation Freeze?

Hello people, I have a new PC lately, here are the specs:-AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4600 +, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs) -2048 DDR Ram DirectX 9.0c-(4.09.0000.0904)-eSATA2 ASRock 939SLI32--Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, 2600)-Nvidia GeForce 7900 GT / GTO 512 (1280x1024 32bit 60Hz) Note This is a new PC i built together, like 2 months ago. The actual start of questions when I try to install or run an application on a CD / DVD. I tried to reinstall my old set of CoV and CoH (City of Villains and City of Heroes), but it does the PC freeze with last visual frozen mouse, keyboard and all functions except the screen showing the latest video and my restart button on my PC. This has also produced when I tried to watch a trailer on the disc CoV, it froze about halfway into the trailer, which can only say that he has nothing to do with the disk itself, it also happens when I try to install cause fear I made sure the CD is clean, the latest drivers installed. Help pls.

If the problem is just for DirectX games and software, then you have a problem with DirectX. The problem could be related to video, sound, or both. Check the website and watch the news NVIDIA driver to see if there were problems with one game in particular that you using. I know that NVIDIA is a bit special in the driver code to support the Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, because of the way OpenGL programmers. Try disabling your sound card. If you can get the game to run (no pun complain without sound device), then you know that the problem It is with the video driver. Sometimes a newer driver video does not work well with your programs, then try going to a previous version driver.
