Does anyone know of a way to get rid of blackheads?
Mine are really deep.Nobody ever notices them,but they really bother me.I have them on my nose and chin.FYI: I have tried pro active face wash and bare escentuals make up as well as just plain soap and water nothing works.
The only real way to get rid of blackheads or whiteheads is to either extract them yourself or get an esthetician or dermatologist to extract them for you. It would be best to go for a facial and get the extractions the first time at least, that way they can show you how to do and maybe tell you whats causing your blackheads. Maybe you play sports, or are out in the sun alot, im not sure. But they'll ask you a few questions and they can generally determine what the cause. I used to have alot of blackheads also, i tried the same things as you. Proactive made me breakout, and i do like bare minerals though. I went in for a facial got the extractions and then got a good facewash/toner/moisturizer combo from Aveda. Havent had any since.
But, if you want to try and do it yourself basically what your going to have to do is; 1. Get an extraction tool. They sell them at most beauty places. Sephora has them, Trade secret, Sallys Etc, 2. Let your face over steam for about ten minutes to open up pores(make sure your face is clean first) 3. Put the extraction tool over the blackhead push down and slide. It should easily come out.
