found old jar that says healing powder: is it drugs?
my uncle and grandma passed away, and i was looking through their basement, i found a jar from 1916 i think, and it said "rawleigh's healing powder." inside is a fine, dark white powder. i took it home, and told my mom i was keeping it. later, i overheard her saying that i "dont know what the powder actually is" my family has a history of drug use. do you think it's drugs in the jar?
heroin and cocaine weren't very prevalent in the u.s at that time. but it's not like they had drug companies labeled and stuff back then. native americans had white powder aspirin they mixed in with teas. it could just be a brand of talcum powder to heal cracked feet or baby rash or mosquito bites. i highly doubt it is any type of illegal drug.
