Dry skin and shiny after cleansing?
After I remove my makeup, my skin is very dry, shiny and painful. I remove my makeup with Vichy Purete Thermal Lotion and cotton pads. The weather is very cold (cold enough for snow) and my skin turned out to be sensitive in the past (it took me a while to find a moisturizer that didn't irritate my skin). Is it normal to have dry skin / shiny after the withdrawal of foundation? Might my skin is too sensitive to the lotion and I must find a new one? Or is it the cold and the fact i keep rubbing my skin to remove makeup?
It happens, too, is just as dead cells are removed and new skin is visible. The cold and friction will probably which makes it bad because both cause skin to get a little chapped, so dress warmly and try to remove your foundation gently as possible. Try to use talcum powder, such as Johnson baby powder (which is great for sensitive skin), it will leave the skin feeling very soft, not dry not at all, and make you feel great!
